Let's get a discussion going on the favorite song of Dave's. We have after careful consideration come to the conclusion that we love "Let It Go, Let It Flow." What is there not to love about that tune? Here's a link to a great live version - note Dave's spectacular live vocals: http://youtu.be/o87g9sdVf9U
Favorite Dave Mason song?
Have just been re-listening to "It's Like You Never Left" and the entire album is brilliant. Dave's guitar work is just stellar and the emotional pull of the whole record is incredible. He was mining a sort of cosmic vein at that time and it really evokes that early 70s feeling of hopefulness and positivity. Also, Stevie Wonder harp work on The Lonely One is, as you would expect, Wonder-ful. Not sure why this record doesn't get mentioned in the 70s best of list because it is one of my absolute favorites. Rock on, Dave!
Definitely World in Changes. Love the melody and the time signature changes.
my all time fave..."Look at You, Look at Me"...which has not been played in Dave's acoustic shows, and i have attended 4 or 5 of those shows. i have purchased tickets for the April 12, 2013 show in Harrisburg, PA. i am wondering if the set songs will change,...i love Dave and Johnne, the show will be great if they decide to sing "The itsy bitsy spider"!!!
